Define seriously dating someone dating a single mom with three kids
He’s cute, funny, makes you feel happy, and you can definitely see yourself seriously dating him.
You guys start hanging out – going on little dates, hooking up, texting throughout the day and night.
I think it's a funny coincidence we were both using the same choice of words.
Well you are right, being with or seeing someone is more exclusive than just dating the person, and yes dating a person is just getting to know them to see if you would want to be exclusive with them.
You want more than just hot make-out sessions and vague “So I’ll see you later? You want someone you can introduce to your family, someone you have a standing date with, someone you can cry to when you’re sad. How are you supposed to bring up such a heavy topic when you’re busy trying to be “cool” girl who doesn’t care about labels? Trying to define a relationship sucks, quite frankly, but you know what sucks more?
How in the world are you supposed to allow yourself to feel vulnerable enough to ask a question that could change everything? Sitting around waiting for him to define the relationship.
Beyond the label, I'm not sure how to define what it is.Until then, it's sort of just a temporary, "until things change" sort of situation to me.To me, seriously dating is not a stage of dating but a TYPE of dating. Is it when you begin discussing your future together, like where you'll live, careers, kids, marriage? Is it when you prepare to get engaged or once you're engaged? For me personally, I think it's when you start thinking about the future.
It may be nothing but I wasn't sure if there is a distinction.
